The Husk Tray

At Pinch, we don’t just think about what’s being served. We think about what it’s being served on.

Many of the trays and pieces of Food Furniture that move through our events are designed, prototyped, and fabricated by our team in our Chelsea studio.

The Husk Tray is one example of how material choice becomes part of that design process.

Made from recycled pulp, coffee husks, and rice straw, the tray transforms agricultural byproducts into a functional, fully biodegradable serving piece. Materials that might otherwise be considered waste are given another purpose before ultimately returning to the earth.
