There’s something special about a good book, great company, and even better snacks. Buffy’s Book Club is all about that magic. Hosted in cozy corners of bars and restaurants between London and New York, Buffy’s brings readers together to sip, snack, and swap thoughts on that month’s pick over a glass of wine, a cocktail and snacks.
This month, Pinch joined the story, and brought the delicious bites and cocktail portion for the New York chapter of the book club.
Our menu for the evening:
Burrata in tomato water
Smoked salmon everything bagel
Fish & chips (Pinch-style)
Goat cheese fondue
Each dish was served on our recycled pressed-paper trays, perfectly complementing the Brooklyn townhouse setting, soft lighting by Louise Poulson, selected books, and conversations that flowed like bubbly wine. The trays also tied beautifully into the bookish theme, because good design, like a good story, is all about the details.
To top it off, we built a whimsical centerpiece of pretzel grissini flowers, long, crisp, edible stems that brought a playful touch of “floral arrangement meets finger food.” Because really, what’s a house party without some florals?
Buffy brought the books. Louis Poulson brought the lights. Pinch brought the bites. And together, we wrote one very tasty chapter.
