The Project

The Beekman Hotel in Lower Manhattan underwent a major, multi-year restoration, transforming a 19th-century office building (formerly Temple Court) into a landmark hotel.

For the hotel’s opening celebration, which featured an installation by Ai Weiwei, Pinch was invited to collaborate with world-renowned Spanish chef Albert Adrià to create a one-of-a-kind culinary and design experience worthy of the moment.

Our Process by The Studio

Working closely with Chef Adrià, we developed a custom one-of-a-kind food display that complemented both the historic grandeur of The Beekman Hotel and the contemporary art context of the evening.

Every element, from the food to its presentation, was designed to feel intentional, elevated, and in dialogue with the space and artwork.

The Finished Piece

The result was an evening where food and design took center stage, sparking conversation and curiosity throughout the room. The collaboration seamlessly blended architecture, art, cuisine, and design, marking the Beekman’s opening as a truly unforgettable cultural moment.
