For a client event at The MET, we brought the craft of sushi-making into an evening for 800 guests at The Temple of Dendur. Our Sosaku Sushi station put the preparation on display, making food part of the experience.
Bring an interactive food experience to an event at The Met.
Deliver freshly prepared sushi at the scale of an 800-person gathering.
Keep the station active throughout the evening.
We made our Sosaku Sushi station a place where guests could watch their food take shape. With fresh nigiri, and sushi hand-rolled throughout the night, the process became part of the presentation.
Fresh fish, thoughtfully prepared: We prepped fresh fish for the station, putting care into every component.
Hand-rolled all evening: Our team served fresh nigiris, and rolled sushi throughout the night, bringing a continuous rhythm of preparation and service to the event.
Craft in full view: The station gave guests a close-up look at the hands and technique behind each roll, and piece.
Sōsaku sushi (創作寿司) translates to “creative” or “inventive” sushi. It refers to modern, artistic sushi that breaks away from traditional rules.
Pinch’s Sōsaku Sushi Counter was designed, developed, and handcrafted entirely in-house. Traditional sushi-making tools such as Samegawa Oroshi and a solid Hinoki work surface help to create an experience that respects the traditions of Japanese sushi service within the context of a modern New York gathering.
Behind the Sōsaku Sushi Counter, Pinch’s Executive Sous Chef, Eunjin Lee, who spent years training as a sushi chef at Nobu Tokyo, brings fine-dining Omakase to any event space.
