Sustainability in Full Bloom: Giving Event Florals a Second Life

Oct 2025

At Pinch, sustainability isn’t just about what’s on the plate, it’s about what happens after the party’s over. Every detail matters, from how we source our ingredients to how we handle the materials and decor that make each event beautiful. Last week, we extended that philosophy beyond the kitchen by partnering with Repeat Roses, an organization that gives event florals a meaningful second life.

From Wedding to Non-Profit

After catering a recent wedding, our team received a generous donation of florals and we partnered with Repeat Roses to give them a new purpose. We transformed the centerpieces into fresh bouquets, each carefully reimagined by hand. We then donated the arrangements to a non-profit event supporting survivors of intimate partner violence, turning what was once decor into a gesture of hope and healing, and giving them a second life.

This simple act turned something fleeting into something lasting, proof that beauty can blossom multiple times when given the chance.

A Zero-Waste Approach to Beauty

Partnering with Repeat Roses aligns perfectly with our zero-waste mission at Pinch. Their process ensures that flowers don’t end up in landfills; instead, they brighten hospitals, nursing homes, and shelters before being responsibly composted. Every petal finds purpose, and every arrangement contributes to a cycle of renewal.

Why It Matters

As a creative catering company, we believe sustainability and design go hand in hand. By rethinking what happens after each event, whether it’s composting food scraps, recycling materials, or reusing florals, we’re helping redefine what it means to be sustainable in the event world.

Small gestures add up to a big impact. And we’re proud to say our events don’t just inspire guests in the moment, they help uplift communities long after the last bite.

If you’re planning an event and want your florals to have a meaningful second life, we encourage you to explore organizations like Repeat Roses, who make it possible for beauty to bloom beyond the event itself.
